Privacy

SideNotch is a local Mac utility. Clipboard contents, calendar titles, filenames, URLs, launched app names, and screen contents never leave the device.

What stays on the Mac

Clipboard history is read from the system pasteboard and stored only in memory or on-disk on that Mac. Downloads watch the local Downloads folder. Calendar titles, if shown later, use EventKit on the same machine. Nothing in those modules is sent to SideNotch servers.

Permissions we do not take

SideNotch does not use Accessibility, screen recording, or global key taps. Hover uses tracking areas. Collapse-on-outside-click may use a mouse-down monitor only while a notch is expanded.

This website

The marketing site is a static page. It does not collect clipboard data or require an account. If usage telemetry is added to the Mac app later, it will be anonymous and opt-in.
